anyway, i went to chicago this past weekend to visit some of my best friends who vacated st. louis for the great white north a year or two ago. things are going well for them and i can see they have a good thing going on, which is nice to see. glad they aren't miserable.

my buddy in chicago has a band, called much the same, who are awesome and rock out quite a bit. they have a new record coming out on nitro records august 29 and if you are a fan of GOOD punk rock like nofx, bad religion, strung out, whippersnapper etc. you need to check out this record. it should be huge. should be. amazon.com that shit.

so school starts AGAIN on monday. being in summer school and then having two weeks off and then going right back into the grind is a little mind boggling. i'm not sure how i feel about it, but i'm in a good motivation stretch right now and i could possibly have a great semester. i just can't find the last class i need to sign up for because everything i want to take is closed. i wouldn't mind just staying at nine credit hours, but my advisor has "advised" against that. why? not sure, but she said i should be full time. will that impede my graduation? i don't NEED anymore classes, so i wish they'd just let me stay where i'm at. it would give me more time to do some independent study to ready myself for the onslaught that will be student teaching. man, that is gonna be rough.
